The prop who had his cake and ate it

In the initial stages of his rugby career, Trevor Nyakane’s fitness levels were under scrutiny because he was carrying a few unwanted kilograms. The former Cheetahs and current Bulls player would be the ideal contestant in the new season of Koekedoor.

Kokkedoor premiers on kykNET, Thursday 12 March at 20:30. In the meantime, the scrum machine will be roasting the Western Force front row in their next Super Rugby game, Saturday 21 March on SS1 at 17:05.

The newest inclusion on the Binneland Clinic staff
Another prop we feel deserves a call up to kykNET is none other than Jannie du Plessis (who was also our medic of choice for Rick's group on The Walking Dead).

The Shark’s stalwart is a qualified doctor and would be the ideal addition to the Binneland Clinic staff in the popular soapie Binnelanders, which airs weekdays at 19:30.

The Doc has to find the antidote for the Sharks scrum, after an embarrassing showing last weekend against the Stormers, when they face the Cheetahs Saturday 14 March at 17:05.

Traumatic events revealed
While Jean de Villiers recovers from the knee injury that he sustained against Wales last year, he could try out for a part on Vlug na Egipte. The plot revolves around a family that moves from Pretoria to Breipaal, a small town in the Karoo, following an event they would rather forget.

As a member of the Haasbroek family, the Springbok captain could open up on how he really feels about the possibility of missing out on another Rugby World Cup due to injury. The 34-year-old played only one game at the 2007 World Cup before being ruled out with a torn bicep.

You can catch the Stormers as they continue their perfect start to the season when they play the Chiefs, Saturday 14 March on SS1 at 15:00. Also find out which member of the Haasbroek family gives us a clue on the events that transpired in Pretoria, Tuesday 17 March at 20:30.

The guesthouse of chaos
Much like Willie le Roux's up-and-down performances, the tenants from the guest house on Villa Rosa are often unpredictable  - we think they'd receive the fullback with open arms.

Find out the drama as it unfolds from Villa Rosa, Monday to Thursday at 18:30.
