Check your balance
Before you gear up to pay your DStv monthly subscription, it’s always a good idea to double-check the amount outstanding. Checking your balance is easy with the below steps:
- SMS your Smart Card number or ID number to 31401 (at a cost of R1 per SMS).
- Dial *120*68584# on your cell phone and follow the prompts.
- Call us on 083 900 3788 or 011 289 2222 without having to speak to an agent. When calling, you will be asked to provide your ID number or Smart Card number in order for our systems to identify you to make sure we provide you with the right information through our automated system. Value-added service (VAS) rates apply.
How to pay
We offer a number of payment methods that will make paying easier for you. Whether you’re a fan of traditional methods such as paying cash or would rather like an effortless experience by signing up for debit order, the choice is yours.

Payment is made easier with a few steps on your cell phone if you bank with FNB, Nedbank or Standard Bank. Make payments with your phone to either pay your DStv subscription or top up your BoxOffice account.
Dial *120*68584# to access your customer number and details. Then use the below USSD codes to start the payment process.
For FNB customers, dial *120*321#
For Nedbank customers, dial *120*001#
For Standard Bank customers, dial *120*2345#
Use internet banking to easily pay your DStv subscription. When paying your account, choose MultiChoice from the list of pre-approved beneficiaries on your bank’s internet banking website. Use your eight-digit MultiChoice customer number as the payment/beneficiary reference.
If you don’t bank with major banks your payment may take up to 48 hours to reflect. For your convenience, if your services have been disconnected and you have paid the correct amount, we will reconnect you automatically once the payment reflects.

Pay your DStv account when out shopping. Pay your account at any of the following stores: PEP, Pick 'n Pay, Shoprite, Spar, Ackermans, Bradlows, Russells and Sleepmasters.
Paying is easy! When making a payment, you will need to provide your DStv Customer Number as your reference, as well as the code 11374 before your customer number. So, if your DStv Customer Number is 12345678, when paying, the reference number will be 1137412345678.
