Watch this video and get to know Kat a bit better as he talks about hosting with Bonang and taking on Hollywood:

Still talking about hosting duties and fashion, Somizi brought his A-game at the SAMAs and even used the crowd as props to hold him up so he could show off his black studded, red bottom boots.

He and Tumi also performed a special rendition of Nasty C's Hell Naw in a cry against the killing of women. There were also great performances from the likes of Dr Tumi, Babes Wodumo, Sjava, Miss Pru, Kelly Khumalo and OKMalumKoolKat, among others.

Then, of course, there was the business of the night - the awards. The big winner of the night, Kwesta, took home six trophies including Best Album of the Year, Best Male Artist and Best Rap Album while Idols star Amanda Black scored the Newcomer of the Year and Best Female Artist awards.

The people voted and Record of the Year went to Nasty C for Hell Naw.

The stars came out in their numbers to walk the red carpet and there were some hits and misses. Bonang dazzled in red, Nomzamo Mbatha (Isibaya, weekdays at 20:30 on Mzansi Magic) went with classic white and Nandi Madida brought it in a black number while musician Sjava decided on a traditional attire.
