MTV (DStv Channel 130) is set to transform Friday nights with a wicked twist on traditional cooking series. MTV brings you #foodforthemunchies, a jam-packed trio of cooking shows with a piquant pinch of added spice. The entertainment-crammed trilogy comprises of MTV Baked: SA Celeb Cook Off, Brothers Green: EATS! and Snack Off: Totally Baked.

MTV Baked: SA Celeb Cook Off features a host of Mzansi’s prominent influencers going head-to-head in the ultimate gastronomic race. The challenge: to recreate the Brothers Green: EATS! unique dishes to win the MTV Baked spatula and culinary street cred.

Brothers Green: EATS!, a new half-hour series, features Brooklyn-based brothers Mike and Josh Greenfield as they dish up "food for the people, by the people", drawing inspiration from across New York City and around the world, and featuring cameo appearances from surprise guests and A-list musicians.

Brothers Green: EATS! will premiere exclusively on MTV from Friday 17 April at 21:15 CAT. Check out the trailer:

While the Brothers Green were building up a cult following on their YouTube channel with their unique, irreverent “dorm room-style” cooking tips, MTV was searching for the perfect blend of cooking, comedy and fun for its youth audience - and hey presto: the dream recipe was born.

“This programme will be our answer to the traditional cooking show, MTV-style,” said Dillon Khan, Channel Director, MTV & VH1 Classic, Africa. “Mike and Josh are a unique duo – they’re super passionate, highly creative and custom-made for the MTV audience. They’re resourceful, ‘make something outta nothing’ kind of guys. And our viewers are going to love them.”

“It’s been one heck of a time working with MTV,” said Mike. “We’re so freaking excited to share what we’ve been creating in our kitchen – we’ve been gathering inspiration from around the world to create meals that are absurdly delicious and incredibly easy to make.”

“Our show is going to be unlike anything you’ve ever seen before,” added Josh. “It’s a perfect blend of epic food, quick and easy eats you can make at home, and music from around the globe. Come hang out with the Brothers Green for an endless eating adventure!”

Snack Off: Totally Baked: From the mind of Rob Dyrdek comes a cooking competition show unlike any other, which takes mundane munchies and elevates it to a fully baked art-form! Snack-Off is a half hour strip cooking competition show where a group of amateur chefs battle it out in an array of "snack" inspired challenges.

Catch MTV Baked: SA Celeb Cook Off, Brothers Green: EATS! and Snack Off: Totally Baked on the #foodforthemunchies block on Friday 17 April from 20:50 CAT.
