Excuse my French.
DStv Franschhoek Bastille Festival is gracing us with the best in fine food, fab wine and fantastic entertainment on 15 and 16 July. With all the excitement, it’s only natural that we’d throw some things out there that we’d like to see.
This year’s Bastille Fest theme is “Joie de vivre" or the joy of life rather for those non-Frenchies out there. What brings more joy that a good pairing - whether wine or shows? Nothing really.

Here are our favourite show pairings for you to sip on:
Because The Good Karma Hospital S1 (Mondays at 20:00 on BBC Brit and here on DStv Now) will give you some feels, it’s best to pair it with some Ridiculousness Africa S2 (Thursdays at 21:35 on MTV) so you can counteract those feels with the funnies.
Idols S13 (Sundays at 17:30 on Mzansi Magic) can be paired with Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations (Tuesdays at 20:00 on Travel Channel) because you know there will be singing whilst cooking – it’s just natural.
Suits S7 (Thursdays at 20:30 M-Net) would be best paired with a side of The Good Place S1 (Fridays at 22:30 on M-Net) so the seriousness compliments the silliness.
Being Mary Jane S5 (Monday 24 July at 21:30 on BET) will go fabulously with Kate’s Secret Wardrobe (Thursday 27 July at 20:00 on ITV Choice) so you can enjoy fierce fashion and fierce women together.
Whether it's wine or shows, make sure you make the right pairing choices with DStv.
