Commonwealth Games medals for athletics:

South Africa currently has 9 Commonwealth Games medals for athletics. Commonwealth Games Gold Medal winners from South Africa are Akani Simbani for the Men’s 100m, Luvo Manyonga for the Men’s Long Jump and Caster Semenya for the Women’s 1500m. Caster Semenya broke the Commonwealth Games record for the 1500m and is expected to win another gold medal in the Women’s 800m final on Friday 13 April 2018.
