Television camera filming military operations at sunrise

Behind the Global War on Terror, is a military hierarchy of men and women who make personal sacrifices in their personal lives.

Thursdays at 21:00 on National Geographic (DStv channel 181) and streaming live on DStv Now, Chain of Command is narrated by Chris Evans, who not only appeared in Captain America and The Avengers, but is also a spokesperson for Got Your Six – a non-profit organization that empowers veterans and their families.

The documentary series was filmed over 18 months and intimately portrays how men and women in the US military handle authority and responsibility, as well as the sacrifices they make in their personal lives. The groundbreaking series had unprecedented access to the US Armed Forces, with rarely-seen footage of the Pentagon, and provides a view of the war against violent extremism, including the front lines of battlefields across the world, and even the cockpit of a fighter jet on a mission.  National Geographic was given access to people performing a wide range of duties in the daily operations in the Global War on Terror which is now in its 17th year, and reveals the military hierarchy.
