Catch the best in local entertainment only on DStv this Africa Month.

This Africa Day, DStv celebrates our diversity and artistry through a host of dazzling locally produced shows. MultiChoice’s investment in homegrown content means we’ve unearthed some exceptional talent to help tell our uniquely African tales. But we want to hear yours too so we’ve set up a hashtag (#AfricaIsAFeeling) so you can share your African experiences with us.

Our unwavering belief in all things local has given rise to gripping channels such as Mzansi Magic, Mzansi Bioskop, Mzansi Wethu and kykNET.

If it’s entertaining reality TV you’re after, you can’t do better than Lip Sync Battle Africa and Top Actor Africa.

Hosted by Koko master D’Banj, and well as South Africa’s Pearl Thusi, Lip Sync Battle Africa is known for its vocal jousting as contestants compete for the ultimate glory. Remember the nail-biting showdown between Denrele vs Ebuka or Flavour vs Maps Maponyane? Well that’s just the beginning so don’t miss out on all the drama. Lip Sync Battle Africa airs on MTV Base (322) every Thursdays at 20:50 CAT on MTV.

It’s down to the wire on Top Actor Africa with just a few weeks remaining until we find out if Jesse Suntele (South Africa), Shamilla Miller (South Africa) or Alex Khayo (Kenya) will be crowned the ultimate winner. The big reveal takes place on Tuesday 24 May at 20:30 CAT so make sure to tune in. Top Actor Africa airs on BET (129) every Tuesday night at 19:30 CAT.

Not gritty enough? Then try a little family grudge, throw in some backstabbing, season with passionate love affairs and top it off with heart-wrenching remorse. When it comes to theatrics, we’ve got you covered. So catch Isibaya, Lokshin Bioskop, The Gift, The Voice, Idols SA, Ingoma, Igazi, Ring of Lies or Greed and Desire and top-up on your dose of drama.
