Cartoon Network Africa, the leading kids’ entertainment channel on the continent, is thrilled to announce its exciting Ben 10 partnership with SuperSport United F.C. and Bafana Bafana midfielder, Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane.

With the FIFA World Cup officially kicking off on 14 June 2018, connecting a local Ben 10 ambassador campaign to this global event, and beloved sport in Africa, was a natural progression.  As the Ben 10 ambassador, Yeye will work jointly with Cartoon Network Africa to sustain the Ben 10 franchise across its online and on-air platforms while raising awareness and affinity with the Ben 10 brand amongst the new generation of Ben 10 fans.

Building on season one and two of the reimagined series, launched in 2016, the animated phenomenon and kid hero, Ben Tennyson, his cousin Gwen, and Grandpa Max, are now back on Cartoon Network with all-new Ben 10 episodes filled with revitalised, high-energy, extraterrestrial, action-packed, comedic adventures.

To top it off, Ben 10 fans across Africa can prepare for action when the iconic midfielder channels his inner Ben 10 aliens on the football pitch and paints Johannesburg all sorts of green! Yeye brings a whole bag of tricks and goodies with the announcement of the recently launched Ben 10 Penalty Power online game, the all-new Ben 10 episodes premiering on Cartoon Network and on DStv Now on Saturday, 23 June at 11:15, the new Toon Cup mobile app, microsite and online game launching on Thursday, 14 June and … wait for it, an exciting opportunity to win a Ben 10 themed party together with Yeye!

Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane says: “I jumped at the chance to work with Cartoon Network. Ben 10 has always been about an average kid that finds himself in extraordinary circumstances – boy, girl, no matter your age, or cultural background, Ben 10 is relatable because anyone and everyone can be a hero in their own right, and save the day if they believe in themselves.”
