MTV Base Meets Mo Ibrahim

On Thursday and Friday, the 11 and 12 May 2017, Craighall and Parkhurst Primary received an unexpected visit from the channels greatest ambassadors Tom and Jerry, along with one of the most extraordinary mobile zoos in South Africa to bring Unam’s classmates and peers, the first interactive and fun Boomerang animal learning experience of its kind in South Africa.

“I was so excited when I heard that the Boomerang Mini Zoo was coming to my school. I can’t believe they picked me!” said Unam Mbane.  “I was a princess for the day like Marina the mermaid from Zig and Sharko - I even won the mini quiz at the end! I really loved the dog Scooby and learned that you must not feed your dog dirty water or chocolate, or raisins – he will get very sick!”

Not only did or winners sing and interact with some of Boomerang’s smaller furry and four-legged wonders under the supervision of an animal specialist, they also learnt about Boomerang’s related animal family and received a one-of-a-kind activity book that promised to immerse them deeper into the animal kingdom.

To accompany this real life Boomerang experience, a series of edutainment tutorials is currently broadcasted on-air, on channel 302, providing kids with interesting information and fun facts on their favourite pets and animals. Children will also be able to find an array of fun facts on animals, along with cool animal-related activities and games, on Boomerang Africa’s website, on www.Boomerangafrica.com.
