From Friday 24 November 2017 to Sunday 26 November 2017 you can enjoy 50% off of selected movies on BoxOffice. This offer is for rentals on the DStv Explora decoder only. The promotion is open to South Africa and rest of Africa (excluding Angola and Portuguese Mozambique).

How Does Black Friday Work On BoxOffice?
Selected movies are discounted by 50% off the normal rental price of R35. Thus you will pay R17.50 for these selected movies as advertised. All you have to do is rent the movie following the normal rental process and you will be charged the lower price.
Note selected movies only.The movies on sale will be identified by the Black Friday Poster
Is the Black Friday Sale available on all PVRs as well as online?
No. The Black Friday Sale on BoxOffice is only available on the DStv Explora decoder. Note that BoxOffice is accessible only if the Active Access Fee subscription is paid.
Is the Black Friday Sale on BoxOffice only available in South Africa?
No – it is available in all countries that BoxOffice is available in.
For how long will I be able to rent these movies at the discounted price?
The Black Friday Sale is available from Friday 24 November 2017 to Sunday 26 November 2017. Thereafter the movies that will return to the service will be available to rent at the normal rental price (R35 in South Africa).
Once I rent the movie(s) that’s on sale – will I still have it available to watch for 48 hours?
Yes – once rented successfully, you will have 48 hours to watch the movie as many times as you like.
Am I allowed to rent all 6 movies at the discounted price?
Yes – there are no limitations on the number of movies you may rent. Please note that you will have 48 hours to watch each of the movies from the time you’ve rented them successfully. If you have rented all 6 movies in one go – you have 48 hours to watch all 6 movies. Your 48 hours is effective from the time the movie was successfully rented and not from the time you start to watch it.
What will happen if my rental fails?
You may re-rent the same movie within the 48 hour window so that you won’t be charged again. If you still have problems with your rental – then please call the call centre on 011 289 2244 (call centre numbers will vary per country)
What will happen if I pay for my rental successfully but do not received the movie?
If our records show payment for your rental request is received, then we will not charge you when you rent again within 48 hours of your first attempt.
