We match up Beyoncé's songs with TV series like Mzansi Magic's Diski Divas and BET2's Being Mary Jane.
Beyoncé has definitely made the world Listen to her through her music.
Think about it, much like Bey's songs, there is probably a show for every kind of emotion. If #nicelifeproblems, like getting emotional while watching a show, are the best thing you never had, get DStv Compact for an Irreplaceable TV viewing experience.
Now back to King Bey, we could probably pair some of her songs to our favourite shows as well, so let's do it.
First up, we think Mzansi Magic's Zabalaza could pair up with Upgrade You from Bey's 2006 album B'Day. This is an ideal match because the series is now hotter than ever before with a new cast and new storylines. Watch an upgraded Zabalaza weekdays at 21:00 on Mzansi Magic.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life deserves Flawless for its soundtrack because Whitney is just awesome and she has so much confidence. We can totally picture her looking in the mirror and singing: "I woke up like this, I woke up like this". Catch My Big Fabulous Life on Wednesday, 10 June at 23:40 on TLC Entertainment.
"I will leave my mark so that everyone will know I was here." These lyrics from Beyoncé's I Was Here from her 4 album totally fits in with Isibaya. I mean, what was life like before the beloved Mzansi telenovela brought zombies, taxi wars and some beautiful cultural scenes to primetime viewers? The award-winning soapie has definitely left a mark. Watch Isibaya, weekdays at 20:30 on Mzansi Magic.
For all the telenovelas on Telemundo, like Part of Me (weekdays at 16:20), we'd need one of Beyoncé's love anthems and Dangerously in Love from the 2003 album of the same name fits these shows.
Having a big ego is not always such a bad thing, especially if you can back it up. Tayo's sense of self-importance in the Hotshots house definitely earns him Beyoncé's Ego to wear as a crown. Catch him on The Spot on Friday, 19 June at 22:00 on EbonyLife TV.
Kerry Washington aka Olivia Pope in The Fixer is a go-getter, has control and wields lots of power. She could run the world. I can already hear "Who run the world? Girls!" when she does that fierce walk so Mrs Carter's Run the World (Girls) is the perfect fit. Season 4 of The Fixer at 21:00 starts on Wednesday, 24 June on M-Net City.
A perfect soundtrack for the glitz, glam and cattiness of the Diski Divas is - all together now - "I'm a a-diva, I'm a, I'm a a-diva." Watch the drama, laughs and arguments from the ladies that are associated with some of South Africa's most talented football stars when Diski Divas airs on Sunday at 18:00 on Mzansi Magic.
Ok, so the next jam is a feature act for the fearless leader of the Beyhive. Feeling Myself is a track from Nicki Minaj's 2014 album The Pinkprint and features Bey. We'd love to pair it up with Desperate Housewives Africa, which airs Thursdays at 22:00 on EbonyLife.
Mary Jane Paul (Gabrielle Union) may be successful and have all the money that she needs but when it comes to relationships, it's complicated. Broken Hearted Girl from 2009's I Am... Sasha Fierce would fit as a Being Mary Jane theme song. Being Mary Jane airs Wednesdays at 20:40 on BET2.
Catch the King Bey herself in Beyonce Collabos on Sunday, 14 June at 17:00 on MTV Base.
