Celebrities came out in the numbers to grace the red carpet and enjoy a fancy dinner as BET revealed its list of Top 20 A-List South African movers and shakers.

Dressed to the nines, the cream of the SA film, fashion, music and comedy industry came out to play.

Hosts of The A-List Nandi Madida and Ayanda Thabethe announced the BET A-List honourees during the exclusive three-course dinner at the Aradia Ballroom at The Four Seasons in Westcliff. Don't miss The A-List (Thursday nights on BET from Thursday 8 September at 18:35).

SA’s new IT couple Bonang and AKA, who were both honoured on the night, looked gorgeous. Another A-List couple that was honoured is the Fergusons, who made the list as Game Changers

It was refreshing to see Black Coffee and his wife, Mbali, whom we don't usually see out and about. Black Coffee got a standing ovation from the attendees when he received his BET A-List DJ award.

Fashion forward King Kotini Riky Rick, who wore an outfit that reminded me of an OTT school uniform, scored the Most Stylish Musician honour while Somizi Mhlongo (Media personality and Idols SA judge) made a statement in floral print pants. Not too be outdone, the fashion guru David Tlale (Style Icon) came clad in black.

BET also honored the sport heroes Castor Semenya and Wayde van Niekerk who were unfortunately not there to receive their awards. Somizi accepted the award on behalf of Castor and cracked a joke about how they both speak broken English but have money in their pockets.
Here are some of the looks from the red carpet:
