Are you ready for a brand-new thriller series to get lost in? We are and it looks like Ten Days in the Valley is the answer to our suspense craving!

We’re here to give you a quick rundown on what to expect in this brand-new series premiering at 21:00 on Monday 2 October on M-Net and streaming live on DStv Now.

The plot

An overworked television producer sees her life turned upside down. As a single mother, Jane Sadler sees her worst nightmare come to life when her young daughter goes missing in the middle of the night. Jane works on a controversial police TV show where aspects of the show seem to be playing out in her real life. Who can she trust when everyone has a secret to hide?

The cast

Kyra Sedgwick

We’re excited to see Sedgwick return to our small screens. We loved her in The Closer where she won both a Golden Globe and Emmy award for her portrayal of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson. We’re interested to see how she brings out Jane’s emotions in the traumatic situation she’s thrown in. Sedgwick is married to Kevin Bacon and has two kids, Travis and Sosie (who is in the hit series 13 Reasons Why).

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje

Akinnuoye-Agbaje joins the cast as Detective John Bird who leads the case of the missing child. Whether it’s television or film, there’s a chance you’ve enjoyed some of Akinnuoye-Agbaje endless credits. From Suicide Squad and Lost to Major Lazer and Disney’s Tangled: The Series he’s no stranger to various genres. We’re excited to see what he brings to the table as Detective Bird.

Kick Gurry

Real name actually Christoper, Gurry joins the cast as Jane’s ex, Pete. An unpredictable music producer and former heroin addict, Pete is seeking custody of his daughter with Jane. Having us question if he’s behind everything, we can’t wait to see Gurry on our screens after seeing him in Edge of Tomorrow and Speed Racer.

Now that we’ve got you covered with the basics, don’t miss Ten Days in the Valley premiering 21:00 on Monday 2 October on M-Net and streaming on DStv Now.
