The Jail: 60 Days In offers an unprecedented look at life behind bars at Atlanta’s Fulton County Jail in the USA as seven innocent volunteers are sent to live among its general population for 60 days without officers, fellow inmates or staff knowing their secret.

The controversial and ground-breaking experiment, The Jail: 60 Days In returns with a new even more explosive series. The series makes an effort to expose what really happens behind bars.

Atlanta’s Fulton County Jail is considered to be one of the jails with the highest rate of gang culture. Participants from various walks of life including teachers, medical practioners and social workers volunteered to be a part of this social experiment to find out what life inside jail is really like.

After months of training, participants entered the prison system for 60 days with security, prison wardens and inmates having no clue about the fact that these new cell mates are actually innocent members of the public. This allows for an accurate protrayal.

Get a glimpse into what life inside prison is like - often replicating what is seen on the streets that landed many behind bars. This social experiment opens up eyes to how the criminal system is seen from the perspective of those inside.
