Viasat Life launches on DStv

Viasat World, the Pay-TV operator which produces and distributes 27 pay TV channels in 43 countries, today announced that it will launch its first ever female skewing entertainment channel, Viasat LIFE on leading African operator DStv, MultiChoice on Tuesday 7 March 2017. The channel will launch as part of the rewards offered on MultiChoice’s brand new customer loyalty programmes, DStv Thanks which also launches to customers on 7 March. The partnership with DStv is proof of the popularity of this channel in Africa and Viasat World is excited to be working with this new operator.

Viasat Life launched 2 January 2017 in Africa and is aimed at young families with kids and adults 25 to 49. The new lifestyle channel, featuring almost 75% of exclusive premieres of aspirational, uplifting and self-improvement programming will broadcast the very best life-style entertainment programming from around the world. Told through the lens of ordinary people and  larger than life characters, featuring the unscripted entertainment that celebrates real-life stories and themes that resonate with viewers – from entrepreneurship and cooking, to transformation and  to relationships and life stages with kids.

Viasat Life will tell stories with heart, passion and aspiration and will premiere on 7 March with key titles Wake Up Call with Dwayne Johnson featuring heart throb, Hollywood actor and professional wrestler Dwayne Johnson, also known by his ring name The Rock. Other shows to include Cooking for Real, Mary Mary and Bridezilla.
