DStv subscribers in Uganda to win fantastic prizes in The Last Mile campaign

MultiChoice Uganda has launched a campaign dubbed The Last Mile that will see its customers from across the country stand a chance to win a range of fantastic prizes worth millions of shillings, including Yaka units, airtime on all networks and free fuel just by reconnecting their subscription on any DStv package.

Announcing the start of the campaign in a press statement Albert Nga, DStv’s acting marketing manager said: "We are running this campaign because we appreciate the loyalty and support our customer’s give us and we feel we should reward them by giving them the opportunity of winning something that they value."

Talking about the number of prizes and the mechanics of the promo, Albert explained 130 prizes will be won every week. "To enter, all a person has to do is pay their subscription between 13 February and 13 April and they will be automatically entered into a weekly draw where they stand a chance to win a prize depending on the package they have selected. One hundred DStv Access and DStv Family packages customers will win airtime vouchers worth shs 5 000, 20 DStv Compact package customers will win Yaka vouchers worth shs100 000 per week and 10 DStv Premium package customers will win fuel vouchers worth shs250 000 per week." The winners will be announced on a weekly basis in the media and on www.dstv.com.

Speaking about what some of the content customers who enter the promo will enjoy, Tina Wamala, MultiChoice Uganda’s PR and communications manager said: “Our viewers can look forward to some exceptional high quality programming over the next few months and beyond including awards seasons that will include the exciting GRAMMY and Oscar Awards, AfricaMagic Viewers' Choice Awards and new thrilling series. We have something for everyone across all the five packages.

In closing, Tina encouraged customers to subscribe for a chance to win one of the 1 040 prizes on offer. She noted: “On average more than 20 people a day stand a chance of winning something.”

The Last Mile campaign is open to active and in-active DStv customers and will run from the 13 February to the 13 April 2016.
