MultiChoice Uganda cuts DStv decoder price by 60 percent to usher in the festive season.
Leading pay media provider, MultiChoice Uganda has reduced off the fully DStv kit by 60 percent, from UGX 315, 000 to UGX, 130,000 as part of its festive season campaign. The new price is inclusive of the decoder, 90 cm satellite dish, and accessories, exclusive of installation and subscription.
The promotion dubbed Drop The Rest, Get The Best will give Ugandans a chance to enjoy quality DStv content with over 120 international and local channels over the festive season at an affordable rate.

Speaking during a press conference at the MultiChoice Uganda head offices in the upscale Kololo suburb, DStv Uganda Acting Sales Manager John Kiryowa said, “For the second time this year MultiChoice Uganda is rolling out a major price reduction on hardware because we understand that during the festive season, people just want to relax and catch up with their favorite TV programmes. The reduction is testament to our commitment to providing access to our quality programming and our continued support towards providing a world of great entertainment and viewing pleasure in the comforts of your home.”
The decoder only price of UGX 85,000 has been packaged as an upgrade opportunity for customers who wish to have access to the best in video entertainment.
“Subscribers can opt for a DStv Access bouquet at a cost of UGX 38,000 with over 60 channels or UGX 73,000 for the Family bouquet with over 70 channels. One month of Premium bouquet subscription which allows access to content such as English Premier League and fantastic M-Net series plus the high definition decoder will retail at UGX 334,000 with over 120 channels. The Compact bouquet will go for UGX 128,000 with over 80 channels while Compact Plus bouquet which has over 90 channels will retail at UGX 224,000,” added Kiryowa.
