In celebration of Women’s Day this month, DStv treated its female customers to a free movie screening of Hidden Figures at Century Cinemax to show its appreciation for its female customers. The ladies were treated to the award-winning movie, popcorn and drinks as a DStv initiative to show how much they appreciate and value their female customers.
Phoebe Nakabazzi, Marketing Manager of DStv Uganda, said: "Women’s Day is a special day for all of us women. It reminds us of our achievements and power, and what better way to celebrate this day with our female customers by treating them with an award-winning, female empowering movie, Hidden Figures, at the cinema. We value all our customers and from time to time we like to show them how much we appreciate them and their loyalty to our services. That’s why this time around, we are recognising our female customers this Women’s Day and taking them out for a movie to show them how special they are to our brand."
Hidden Figures is the award-winning biographical drama film about Katherine G Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson - brilliant African-American women working at NASA, who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation's confidence, turned around the Space Race and galvanised the world. The visionary trio crossed all gender and race lines to inspire generations to dream big.
"This is an inspirational movie that we want all women to see and be encouraged and motivated to keep being the superwomen they are," said Tina Wamala, PR Manager of MultiChoice Uganda. "It’s also our special gift from us as DStv to our esteemed female DStv customers; and we hope that they will enjoy the movie and be greatly impacted by it to keep striving and reach for the stars."
At DStv, we endeavor to show our customers how much they are valued and appreciated by hosting them and giving them special treats that’ll keep them satisfied with our brand.
