Sophia Bush as detective Erin Lindsay in Chicago PD, Taraji P Henson as detective Joss Carter in Person of Interest.

Do you love your female detectives? Now you can take a vote on who's hot and who's not.

TV female detectives are good at catching the bad guys and they still manage to look hot with their glocks strapped in. Now, let’s have a look at some of these female detectives before we take a vote on who’s hot and who's not.

Quantico’s Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra) is too hardened for an FBI rookie, bringing her beauty and brains to a very challenging role – an agent framed for a terrorist attack worse than 9/11. Quantico airs Mondays at 22:00 on Vuzu AMP.

No one ever thought that Sophia Bush, the One Tree Hill heartbreaker, would ever play a cop but she does a pretty good job hanging out with the boys in Chicago PD. The third season premieres on Tuesday, 10 November at 21:30 on M-Net.

It would seem that in her latest roles, Meagan Good enjoys being a cop; first as detective Joanna Locasto in Deception, Wednesdays at 21:15 on BET (129) and now as the tech-savvy detective Lara Vega in the sci-fi crime drama Minority Report, Tuesdays at 21:30 on FOX (125).

Taraji P Henson once played a very capable detective Joss Carter in Person of Interest before she was gunned down in Season 3. Now as Cookie Lyon, she can’t seem to run away from her troubles with the law in Empire Season 2, Thursday at 22:00 on FOX.

Although she is now a fugitive, we are all familiar with FBI profiler Agent Elizabeth Keen, played by Megan Boone in The Blacklist Season 3, Saturdays at 02:00 on M-Net, Express to Explora, also available on DStv Catch Up.

Two more detectives you cannot afford to miss are Homicide Detective Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) in Rizzoli & Isles, Fridays at 19:30 on M-Net and Special Agent Avery Ryan (Patricia Arquette) in CSI Cyber S2 on Wednesday at 21:30 on M-Net.

And now a time to vote.
