Afro pop band Elani shared some of their life lessons in an interview at Coke Studio in Nairobi.
No music trio in East Africa is hotter than Elani.
Their debut album, released in 2013, catapulted them to immediate stardom and earned them a nomination for Best Afro Pop video at the Channel O Africa Music Video Awards (CHOAMVA) in 2014.
The year 2015 has been a great one for the group. They're set to feature in the third season of Coke Studio Africa, collaborating with Nigerian singer Chidinma.
Theirs is a match made in heaven and their songs have made audiences in Africa literally go kookoo. We caught up with them at the Coke Studios in Nairobi and they were enthusiastic to share a thing or two about the lessons that have shaped their skyrocketing music career.
To dance to Elani's Jana Usiku and many more African hits, stay tuned to Africa 10, every Thursday at 23:00 on TRACE Urban.
As the only man in the group, Bryan Chweya was more than happy to go first.
Up next was Wambui Ngugi, one of the two sassy ladies of Elani who let us in on some of her life lessons, emphasizing "research, practice and grow".
The sweet-voiced Maureen Kunga had some inspiration to share as well.
