Malawi and Nigeria clash in a massive continental collaboration!

Malawian rap superstar Tay Grin has released a new single, Chipapapa, featuring top Nigerian musician 2Baba (formerly known as 2 Face Idibia).

The bonafide dance song and club banger is as a result of a long-term friendship between the two artists.

"I have know 2Baba for many years and we’ve always talked about a collaboration. He is a very talented artist and working with him was an absolute pleasure," said Tay.

Ahead of his East African release of Chipapapa, Tay passed a message to his fans in this region: "As I reintroduce myself to East Africa, I would like to thank my old fans for supporting me and my music. To the new fans, warm Malawian greetings to you all. I can’t wait to come out there and entertain you guys!"

The artistic music video of Chipapapa was shot in South Africa in the mining town of Nigel by director Bruce Patterson. It is an ode to Africa's beauty, flaunting our richness by use of dance, colour, beautiful people and varied African outfits.

Tay Grin took an olden Malawian game and embodied it into a song.

Chipapapa is a game that most people enjoyed during their childhood.

"It’s a game that reminds most of us of a specific time in our youth," said Tay, adding, "2Baba then grasped the idea and quickly added on a few games they have in Nigeria."
