Tune in to SuperSport 9 East for LIVE football action this weekend.

Fans of local football have something to celebrate this weekend as SuperSport, your World of Champions, brings you the best of live football action.

Top 8 continues as Sofapaka face off with Sony Sugar in the first leg of their Top 8 semi-final clash at Afraha Stadium on Saturday 17 October at 13:30 EAT LIVE on SS9E, your World of Champions. Both sides are looking to win their maiden Top 8 crown and a good performance in the first leg will leave them in good stead for the return leg.

Coming right after at 16:15 EAT, Gor Mahia’s quest for an unprecedented treble continues when they take on Top 8 champions Tusker in the second semifinal at Afraha Stadium, LIVE on SS9E. Already crowned league champions, Gor will look for revenge when they face the brewers in a repeat of last year’s semifinal where Tusker won 2-1. Top 8 is Tusker’s only remaining chance of silverware after they were knocked out of the GOtv Shield last weekend.

Elsewhere in the Kenyan Premier League, AFC Leopards will play their second league match behind closed doors on Sunday 18 October when they host Mathare United at Kasarani at 13:00 EAT, LIVE on SS9E. Ingwe are serving a two-match ban for crowd trouble during their game against Thika back in July and will have to face the slum boys without their 12th man. Mathare will draw confidence for their good record against Leopards with just one defeat in their last five meetings.

Sunday’s second match at 15:15 EAT will be a relegation shootout between City Stars and KCB at Kasarani, LIVE on SS9E. With four points separating the two sides, a defeat will condemn City Stars to relegation as it will leave them seven points adrift with two games to go.
