Plan your weekend viewing with these shows on DStv

There’s a beauty to weekends, whether it’s sleeping until the sun comes out, having serious conversation with yourself over a long shower or spending some quality time with bae.

But that’s not all you can do on a weekend. Now that we are in the #TGIF mode, let’s kick in the weekend with these DStv offerings:

1. Rent a movie

It’s a natural rule – there is no weekend without a movie or two. It’s the best time to recharge with an action flick like Hitman: Agent 47 or a horror flick like The Visit available for rent on BoxOffice.

You can also indulge in one of the greatest crime films ever made, Goodfellas, on Sunday 17 Janunary at 00:35 on M-Net Movies Action. #TeamNoSleep anyone?

2. DStv Catch Up

You’ve been busy the whole week; you actually missed the premiere of the coolest cop show on DStv’s M-Net - Shades of Blue - starring Jenny from the Block (Jennifer Lopez). But no one misses out on DStv, so head over to DStv Catch Up on your DStv Explora or on DStv Now and catch Shades of Blue and all other episodes of shows you missed.

3. Watch all the best shows

It's okay to be a little obsessed with DStv shows over the weekend. And with the return of Alicia Florrick, you cannot afford to miss The Good Wife S7 on Saturday 16 January at 23:00 on M-Net. Or maybe you prefer the Iron Lady, that is Annalise Keating, on a new mystery-ladden season of How to Get Away with Murder on Saturday 22:30 on VUZU AMP.

And who said you couldn't go for something funny like The Daily Show, triple bill, on Saturday 16 January from 22:55 on Comedy Central?

4. Join the Foodies Community

It's the weekend peeps, no more rushed meals over your lunch break. No more skipping breakfast to beat the morning rush. Just relax and enjoy some good food. If you have no idea where to start, how about some tips from DStv’s Foodies Community. Or you could borrow a thing or two from Kaluhi’s kitchen - I hear she has a special recipe for the best chapatis in town.

5. Get into sports

Your weekend can never be complete without some live sporting action, coming to you exclusively on SuperSport, your World of Champions.

Hot on the line-up is the EPL this weekend:
