Bushiangala Secondary School, Lirhembe Girls High School and Shikhunga Secondary School have each received a MultiChoice Resource Centre (MRC) kit. The MRC programme is a CSR initiative that helps aids learning through use of visual images and illustrates the benefits of television as an educational tool.
Speaking at the launch, MIH East Africa Regional Director Stephen Isaboke said, “MultiChoice as a company believes that improving the standard of education is one of the ways by which the company gives back to the community. We have a strong conviction that the technological, economic, and socio-political advancement of any country is tied to the quality of education students receive in schools. This initiative is just one way we can help improve the learning experience in schools.”
The launch of the MRC projects in the three schools was also attended by the PS in the Ministry of ICT, Sammy Itemere, management of all the 3 schools, teachers and students.
