Two-time CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Awards winner Charles Kariuki chats to DStv on why he is going for the third win
Of the five Kenyan finalists at the 2015 CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Awards, Charles Kariuki is the only one who has already won it twice already (2010 and 2012). This year, he has been nominated in collaboration stories he did with NTV’s Enock Sikolia. He has extensive experience in broadcast media and has worked with various media outlets, including World Vision where he now works as a cameraman and editor.
His overall mission is to challenge the perspective of those who view his work. He says, “This nomination means people are watching and after it they will want to see better features and stories from me so I have to keep up.” Charles has won thrice at the KEMEP awards and also bagged the Best Gender Reporting prize at the Media Council Awards.
Make sure you catch the ceremony on Sunday 18 October at 19:00 EAT on Africa Magic World (155)
