Kenya Premier League is guaranteeing you a thrilling football weekend on SuperSport 9 East

This weekend on SuperSport 9 East you will have the chance to jenga the game right from your couch. With some live local football action, here’s what you don’t want to miss!

KCB vs City Stars: The bankers lost 3-1 to AFC Leopards in their midweek fixture coming from a draw with Mathare United. They have all to play for, as they are 14th on the table with four losses and one draw. Nairobi City Stars will also not take anything for granted as they come from a humiliating loss to Gor Mahia where Ali ‘Teargas’ Abondo, Michael Olunga and Innocent Wafula scored fantastic goals to keep Kogalo at the peak of the table. The Kawangware-based sides have had a precarious start to the season, here’s to hoping they settle down and take this one by the horns. Watch the match on Saturday 18 April at 12:30.

AFC Leopards vs Ushuru clash at Nyayo Stadium on Saturday 18 April. The game will see Ken Kenyatta’s boys fight hard to beat 5th placed Ingwe, their chances seem high considering that they are coming from a 2-1 win over Mathare United. Zdravko Logarusic’s boys are also coming from a win over KCB however, their start of the season has been a little anticlimactic having drawn 3 times and lost once. This will definitely be a thrilling game, so don’t forget to catch it at 15:00.

Gor Mahia vs Sofapaka: Both teams have registered wins against Nairobi City Stars and Chemelil respectively. 1st placed Kogalo pack a mean streak having not lost a game yet while 6th placed Sofapaka have lost once and drawn twice…so this is definitely a match not to miss on Sunday 19 April at 13:30.

Sidenote: Gor Mahia coach Frank Nuttall is in talks with FKF to temporarily draft him into the Harambee Stars’ technical bench for upcoming Cup of Nations qualifiers against Zambia, Guinea Bissau and Congo Brazzaville. He’s a great coach and it would be great to see him take our national side to the next level.

Remember to tune in to SuperSport 9 East this weekend, to catch all this thrilling football action. May the best team win!
