Kenyan boxer Rayton Okwiri in the Rio Olympics

Welterweight boxer Rayton Okwiri is representing Kenya in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Kenyan boxer Rayton Nduku Okwiri, aka "the underdog in Rio", has now climbed to the ranks of a golden boy after defeating Russian boxer Andrei Zamkovoy in what AFP described as the biggest shock of the boxing contest in Rio so far. A welterweight boxer, Okwiri has now moved to the round of 16 where he will be facing Moroccan Mohammed Rabii on Thursday 11 August at 18:30 on SuperSport 7.
