DStv and SuperSport unveils Victor Wanyama as the Brand Ambassador of DStv and SuperSport at a dinner at Capital Club, Nairobi

In case you haven’t heard, DStv and SuperSport have entered into a media partnership with the Lion of Muthurwa.

The partnership deal was announced on Tuesday at an invite-only dinner at Capital Club that was attended by the guest of honour himself, Victor Wanyama, FKF president Nick Mwendwa, Gerenal Manager of SuperSport E.A Auka Gecheo and Speaker of the Senate Ekwe Ethuro, among other dignitaries and representatives from both SuperSport and DStv and various media outlets.

As an ambassador, Wanyama will spearhead “Let’s Play”, an initiative that encourages children to be passionate about sport and schools to encourage physical education.

Wanyama, who has just been signed by Tottenham Hotspur at £11 million on a five-year deal, talked about his plans to support young footballers in Kenya saying, “I want to give them what I didn’t get when growing up.”

DStv and SuperSport also took this opportunity to present a birthday cake to Wanyama who turned 25 on Saturday.

All in all, it was a night of wining and dining, football talk, fun and of course a lot of jokes going around about Wanyama’s debut for the Spurs.
