Nairobi Restaurant Week

EatOut Kenya hosted a press briefing at Brew and Bistro Rooftop ahead of the Nairobi Restaurant Week 2016.

On DStv, we love to eat!  Like everyone else, good food is one of our biggest motivator. From the Food Network to BBC Lifestyle and many other channels that show you how to throw down scrumptious meals; DStv Foodies Community is all about enjoying the finer things in life.

Recently we were invited for  Nairobi Restaurant Week 2016 launch by EatOut Kenya at one of the newest lounges in Nairobi, Brew and Bistro Rooftop, Westlands.

The event boasted the crème de la crème when it came to food in Kenya. From local known foodies, photographers, restaurateurs, chefs, brand ambassadors and lastly DStv was not left behind from the in crowd as we are all about food.

The rooftop was decorated with an array of food that made that you would have thought we were shooting an episode of  Chopped. Instead of the usual boring press briefing and long speeches, the afternoon’s program was all planned out to be fun and games.

After a short briefing by EatOut general manager Michelle Slater, the floor was open. There was a blind wine tasting where the lucky winners received lavish gateways to exotic destinations. Hector, the in-house chef, also showed us how to make an array of dishes while Amarula brought down the house with a mixology competition that saw the lounge flowing with drinks that sunny afternoon. It was surely a celebration of food.

But don't let us spoil all the fun, here are pictures of the mouth-watering food that was on display:
