Africa's biggest music acts to share same stage on the new season of Coke Studio Africa.

Africa’s biggest stars are set for a new season of the non-competitive music reality TV show - Coke Studio Africa. The show pushing for the agenda of collaborations between African artists is doing it big this year as 26 top musicians are set for the new season. Filming starts in Nairobi on Monday 18 May 2015.

The show will feature performances and collaborations from popular artists who have made a mark on their local music scene. Kenyan acts: Avril, Wangechi, Elani and Juacali will be joined by top acts drawn from Nigeria, Mozambique, Uganda and Tanzania. African divas currently enjoying massive hits returning to the show this season include Yemi Alade, Seyi Shay and Vanessa Mdee.

Nigerian crooner 2Face Idibia will for the first time be joining the star-studded lineup that will also include Dr. Jose Chameleone, Neyma, Ice Prince, Olamide, Ali Kiba, and Dama Do Bling, among others.

This year this artists will collaborate in a unique format of mash-ups - the latest trend in the global music industry. Juacali says, “Artists shouldn’t be back to normal after this kind of opportunity. It’s not just about collaborations but a chance to discover new sounds, markets and genres. It will be so exciting for my fans around Africa.”

Two - time Grammy Award winning musician and producer, Zwai Bala (of South African Kwaito group TKZee) has also arrived in Kenya to act as the show’s music director. South African renowned international TV director and producer, Brett Lotriet, will be the show’s series producer.

Super creative producers including Jaaz Odongo, Eric Musyoka and Kevin Provoke from Kenya, Cobhams Asuquo, Masterkraft and Chopstix from Nigeria, Owour Arunga from USA, Nahreel from Tanzania and Silvastone from the UK will be the music geniuses to cook up the music productions.
