Captain America: Civil War on BoxOffice

How is your New Year going? Are you having fun yet? We are about to make it even better with a chance at unpacking the best of movies on DStv.

Explosive action movies are taking over BoxOffice this September. First with the superhero blockbuster Captain America: Civil War that sees Captain America’s Steve Rogers fight against his fellow avenger, Iron Man’s Tony Stark. Captain America is now available for rent on BoxOffice alongside another action-packed movie, I Am Wrath, that sees John Travolta go down the revenge route as he seeks to bring his wife’s killers to justice.

Watch this space for another top-billed superhero flick, X-Men: Apocalypse, that is available for rent on BoxOffice from Monday 26 September.

Like we said, DStv is going big on action and who better to continue the rampage than Furiosa (Charlize Theron) and Max (Tom Hardy) in Mad Max: Fury Road. The duo prove that when facing an apocalyptic civil war, they are all you need in your corner to survive even with all the grease, dust and blood. Tune in on Friday 23 September at 01:20 on M-Net Movies Premiere (104).

Liam Neeson never looked so bad-ass in an action movie like he does in Taken 3. When his ex-wife is murdered, Neeson does everything (and we mean everything) to punish the people behind it. Like he always says, "I will look for you, I will find you and I will kill you." Taken 3 airs Sunday 25 September at 23:28 on M-Net Movies Action, also available on DStv Now.

Take a break from the action with some comedy with Penguins of Madagascar that follows the adventures of the three penguin brothers - Skipper, Kowalski and Rico - in Antarctica, Tuesday 20 September at 14:15 on M-Net Movies Smile (105).

And who doesn't need funny man Trevor Noah in their life with the stand-up comedy masterpiece that is Trevor Noah: Nationwild, and it airs on Monday 26 September at 17:40 on M-Net Movies Smile (105).

Romance is in the air with the star-studded musical Mamma Mia that features the legendary Meryl Streep playing alongside former James Bond - Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgard (as her former lovers) and Amanda Seyfried as her daughter. Mamma Mia is available on DStv Now which you can access via your smartphone or tablet as soon as you download the DStv Now app.

Add some Indian flavour to your selection of movies with Khoobsurat where a hopelessly romantic physiotherapist falls in love with a prince who is already engaged to someone else. But when has that ever stopped two people in love? Tune in on Thursday 22 September at 16:00 on Zee World (166).
