The Big Bang Theory is back for more with double bill Season 8 episodes on M-Net.
M-Net channel 101 on DStv is bringing you more bang this winter! Heads up to all The Big Bang Theory lovers, the returning season (Season 8, new episodes) starts off with two back-to-back episodes on Wednesday 17 June at 19:30 and 20:00. And that’s not all… avid fans of this popular hit comedy series can view double episodes every week.
Created by Emmy-nominees Chuck Lorre (Two and a Half Men and Mike & Molly) and Bill Prady, The Big Bang Theory follows two brainy best friends who could tell you anything you want to know about quantum physics, but when it comes to dealing with everyday life here on Earth, they're lost in the cosmos.
The show has been nominated multiple times for both Emmy and Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Comedy. In addition to winning the 2013 Critics Choice Television Award for Best Comedy Series, it is a three-time winner of the People’s Choice Award for Favourite Network TV Comedy (2010, 2013, 2014), two-time winner of the Television Critics Association Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy (2009, 2013) and two-time winner of the TV Guide Award for Favourite Comedy Series (2010, 2013).
In the eighth season premiere, Leonard and Amy take an unexpected road trip to Arizona to pick up Sheldon. Meanwhile, Penny interviews for a job at Bernadette's company and Howard is "weirded out" by Stuart's (series regular Kevin Sussman) close relationship with Mrs. Wolowitz. Stephen Root guest stars as Bernadette's boss, Dan.
The Big Bang Theory stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch.
Viewers can also watch The Big Bang Theory on DStv Now, DStv Catch Up (PVR/Explora, PC and Tablet) or download the M-Net App (it's free) to set reminders for The Big Bang Theory and other M-Net shows.
