We absolutely love Will Smith! We’ve followed his career almost from the beginning.
We LOL'd at his best one-liners as The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, were on the dance floor getting jiggy to his music, and we've recently been moved by his incredible performances in so many Hollywood blockbusters.
On Saturday 10 October at 20:00 on SONY, you can watch Will Smith give a performance of a lifetime in the emotional Seven Pounds, which also stars Rosario Dawson and Michael Ealy.
From watching Will all these years, we’ve come across a few of his on-screen traits that resonate in his off-screen life as well. And that’s what we want to share with you.
We all fell in love with Will Smith in the early days of his career as The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. And just like his on-screen character back then, today, Will still oozes cool. Even when he's covered in green goo!
In the romantic comedy Hitch, we saw Will as someone who commits when he meets the right woman and will do just about anything to show her how he really feels about her. After 18 years of marriage, the fire in Will and wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s relationship is still burning strong! Posting on Facebook, Will wasn’t shy to tell us all just how he feels about Jada when she recently celebrated her 44th birthday.
Who could forget Will in the iconic role as Mike Lowrey in Bad Boys? Not only was he a hard-working detective, but also a good friend. In real life, we can see how hard working he is, with more than 35 acting roles to his name. He also comes out to support a good cause and his friends' careers. We want Will as one of our closest friends!
Will loves his family – on screen and in real life - and he’s collaborated with all of his children. He starred opposite his son Jaden in After Earth and The Pursuit of Happiness, and with his daughter Willow in I Am Legend.
And he dedicated his song and music video for Just the Two of Us to his oldest child, Trey.
Men in Black’s Agent J is probably one of Will’s most memorable on-screen moments and one thing we know for sure, Will Smith knows how to rock a suit!
As John Hancock, Will's character wasn't the best superhero to have around. But in real life, Will is a superhero to many with his generosity. Over the years, Will and his wife have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Christian and Scientology organisations.
Now that you know a few of the similarities between Will and his on-screen characters, grab the popcorn and settle in for good drama with Will Smith in Seven Pounds on Saturday 10 October at 20:00 only on SONY.
