Currently promoting his new single, Situka (Get Up), Bobi Wine says: “No matter what you are going through don’t give up.”
Catch Bobi Wine's music on Rave Mix, Monday to Friday at 17:00 on Maisha Magic East (158).
He spoke to DStv ahead of his big concert over the Easter holiday, where he responded to random questions on life, kids and memorable places and moments. Check it out:
What was the best date you ever had with a girl?
It was with my wife when she was still my girlfriend. It was on her birthday and I proposed to her by the lake. It was on a risky day but it was worth the risk.
What qualities would you go for in a woman?
Big brains. What’s inside is greater than what's outside.
How would you describe your parenting style?
It’s a beautiful thing and inspiring. I see myself becoming my father because I am doing exactly the same things he used to do when I was a kid. I used to look up to him as a superman – my kids now look at me like I am superman.
What are some of the cheeky things that an entertainer’s kids do?
They do everything I do and can (even) be very authoritative. My son is a simple young man just like I used to be and is into the same things I loved as a child - boxing, acting and singing. I want them to enjoy what they do because every career should come with a sense of enjoyment.
Which is your favourite African city and why?
I would say Kampala. It’s like a big university, if you survive in Kampala you can survive in any city. Nairobi too is very beautiful.
Lets talk about food. Would you go for Spahgetti or Rice. Better yet what do you enjoy eating?
Matoke and Fish although rice is better than spaggs.
