Nyamari Ongegu, aka Nyashinski’s line “Nimekuwa bad boy since standard 2...kuchapa watoi mateke hadi naganda mguu” resonate well with those who grew up in the late 1990s as well as current fans looking for a TBT moment in what is considered the golden era of Kenyan music.
Nyashinski is a household name when it comes to Kenyan hip hop and it is not by chance that his songs are dope hits on radio and the tube barely months after he returned from his long sabbatical from music.
He has been away for over 15 years but when on stage with Trey Songz for the recent Coke Studio sessions, the fans reminded him why he needed to comeback and he is quite humbled about it.
We had a chat with Nyash, as he is popularly known on these streets and he talked about his return and what we should be expecting from him. Check video to find out if he likes choma sausage or mutura and westy or Nairobi west partying. Let's get nostalgic and press play!
