Kenyan rapper Nyashinski has been nominated for MTV EMA Best African Act alongside Babes Wodumo and Nasty C (South Africa), C4 Pedro (Angola) and resident nominee Wizkid and Davido (Nigeria).
Voting is now officially open and will close on 12 November, so vote for your favourite by visiting mtvema.com.
The prestigious awards ceremony, which will be broadcast live from London’s SSE Arena, Wembley on Sunday, 12 November at 23:00 CAT simulcast on both MTV (channel 130) and MTV Base (channel 322).
Nyashinski shared his excitement with fans on Twitter.

Sauti Sol who won the coveted Best African Act in 2014 also took to twitter to congratulate the rapper.
Nyashinski who had disappeared from the music scene for a very long time made his golden comeback in 2016 with his first hit Now You Know, a reminder to the world that he was officially back in business. Since then he has released hit after hit including his most viewed video Mungu Pekee and most recently Aminia and Malaika that was lauded as a heart-tugging ballad.
