Award winning jazz trumpeter Owuor Arunga shares life lessons that have defined his career.

Award-winning musician Owuor Arunga, best known as Macklemore’s trumpeter and music director, is working his musical magic in Kenya. From a small town in Kisumu, he made his way to the USA to further his education and a career in music. 

Together with his long-term friend, American rapper Macklemore, the two have built their dreams and made it big in music while touring the world. They have since recorded an album, The Heist (famous for billboard hits Can't Hold Us and Thrift Shop), which earned Macklemore and Ryan Lewis their first two Grammys, plus a nomination at the 56th annual Grammy Awards.

During an interview with DStv, Owuor shared the life lessons that have defined his success through the years.
