Rapper Wangechi speaks to us about her music, her performance with Mos Def and what she has planned for fans.
Kenyan rapper Wangechi is East Africa’s most promising femcee.
Her career, however, was put on hold a few months ago following a tragic accident. She is now back on her feet and back in the game.
In the video below, Wangechi speaks exclusively to us about her latest release, Cardiac Arrest, and what her first stage performance alongside Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) - who was recently in Kenya - means for her comeback.
Wangechi also mentions that she has been working on new songs with producers Provoke and Blinky Bill and will be releasing more dope jams. This year, she will also be focusing on collaborations with other artists from around Africa so as to reach out to her African fans. She also dishes out the reasons that she thinks African music has so much potential.
