One thing we have discovered in this first week of July - Beyoncé and Jay Z's twins names. Now everyone with an internet connection has moved on to the next best thing: to find out the meaning behind Sir Carter and Rumi Carter (not that TMZ hasn't done the job for us already). Away from the Carters and to DStv, here are a few shows to discover this week:
Once a police officer, Rebecca “Rebel” Knight is now a kickass private investigator, a life-changing decision she makes after her brother is shot by one of her colleagues on the job. The drama that comes with this show is the way Rebel handles business, she is snappy and hardboiled, a woman who has no qualms about going head to head with people who stand in her way at same time fighting her own demons. Tune in to Rebel on Mondays at 22:30 on BET (129), also on DStv Now.

A comedy set in the fictitious Jela 5-Star, this show chooses to look at the funny side of life in prison, focusing on the relationship between the inmates and the police officers plus all the other people who work within the four walls of a prison. Despite their situation, this local show brought to you by Maisha Magic East will keep you in good spirits this week and all the other weeks to come from Monday to Wednesday at 19:30
