Despite moving away from music in the past few years, the Queen is still considered one of hip-hop's pioneer feminists having sold over two million records. Her music touches on social issues, especially those affecting black women. Her songs have covered topics like domestic violence and relationships. Her debut album, All Hail the Queen, featured the hit single Ladies First. She won a GRAMMY Award for her song U.N.I.T.Y, off her third album, Black Reign (1993).
