Mad Max: Fury Road (currently available to rent on BoxOffice)

It was a long time coming but Mad Max: Fury Road released to much positive acclaim. With an incredible A-list cast including Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy, Mad Max is the fourth film in the franchise and offers all the action and drama fans of the brand know and love. Even if you’re new to the film, you’re bound to enjoy what it has to offer. With three Golden Globes nominations, it confirms that you need to check it out.


Trainwreck (currently available to rent on BoxOffice)
Can a woman who fears commitment settle down when she meets a good guy worth the time and effort to purse a relationship? This comedy-drama has received two nominations for Best Picture, Comedy and Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for Amy Schumer. Schumer has been delivering on the comedy front and Trainwreck is no exception. 


American Horror Story: Hotel (Tuesdays at 02:00 CAT on M-Net Edge)
Picking up two nominations for Best Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television and Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made For Television for Lady Gaga, American Horror Story: Hotel has had us talking about everything from the cast to the storyline and the quite out there characters. Lady Gaga delivers an incredible performance, showing us she’s more than capable to hold her own not only in the music industry but within the acting industry too. 

 

The Good Wife (Season 7 starts Saturday 9 January at 20:00 CAT on M-Net)

His second nomination for his role in The Good Wife, will Alan Cumming take the award for Best Supporting Actor in a TV Series, Limited Series or TV Movie in 2016? Only time will tell! After six seasons of The Good Wife, we are keen to watch the new season because the series is pretty much addictive!

Fun for the whole family, Inside Out is nominated for Best Motion Picture – Animated and we’re not surprised. Delving into the topic of human emotions and how they effect us in day-to-day activities, this film delivers a heartwarming story of how we should be true to ourselves and that having varied feelings is normal. In our 2016 predictions, we tipped this movie off to win in the category.
