This Youth Month, we honour artists who continue to shape our world with their creativity, ambition, and determination.

During this youth month, Channel O (DStv Channel 320) pays tribute to the dynamic individuals who inspire and captivate us with their exceptional music and entertainment.

We celebrate the influential figures who are the driving force behind great sounds and unforgettable experiences. Among these creative powerhouses are renowned DJs like Uncle Waffles and DBN Gogo, as well as talented hip-hop artists such as 25K and Maglera Doe Boy, and the rising stars of Amapiano, like Pabi Copper and Focalistic.

We can’t possibly list all the gifted youth artists, but here are a few we celebrate:

DBN Gogo (30)

Mandisa Radebe, known as DBN Gogo, is a renowned South African DJ and music producer. Hailing from Durban and raised in Pretoria, her debut single “Khuza Gogo” achieved platinum status in South Africa, solidifying her as a trailblazer in Amapiano.

Uncle Waffles (23)

Lungelihle Zwane, who’s popularly known as Uncle Waffles, is a Swazi-born DJ and Amapiano producer. Her infectious beats and dance prowess have earned her the title of “Princess of Amapiano” by Billboard.

Nasty C (26)

Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, better known as Nasty C, is a ground-breaking South African hip-hop rapper, songwriter, and record producer. Renowned as a visionary artist, he spearheads a new wave of African rappers with his unmatched work ethic and exceptional musical talent.

Maglera Doe Boy (29)

Tokelo Moyakhe, also known as Maglera Doe Boy, is a talented South African rapper and songwriter from Klerksdorp. Notably recognized for his hit song “Never Ride,” which gained viral traction on TikTok, Maglera Doe Boy continues to make waves in the music industry as a skilled creator.

25K (29)

Lehlohonolo Molefe, aka 25K is a South African rapper and record producer from Saulsville, Pretoria. With his unique style and lyrical prowess, he has captivated audiences and gained recognition as a finalist for Homecoming Events’ “Artist on The Rise”. He won the South African Hip Hop Award for Best Remix in 2019 and continues to grow in his artistry.
