Will Yeezy finally jump over the Jumpman?

30 June 2016
Musician and sneaker company collaborations have been around for the better part of the 90s and 2000s.

From 50 Cent's G-Unit sneakers with Reebok to Jay-Z's S. Carter's the hip hop fraternity has been getting fans the world over the save up their pocket money to buy these cool kicks. However no brand has come anywhere near matching the hype around Kanye West and his Yeezy collaboration with adidas that was birthed two years ago.

And now that fruitful relationship has just ventured into uncharted territory!

Two years in and the game’s just been changed again. adidas + KANYE WEST

This week adidas announced the all new 'adidas + KANYE WEST' line that marks their most significant partnership in the brands history! The pairing has been descibed as "a Yeezy-branded entity creating footwear, apparel, and accessories for all genders across street and sport,” and it's set to come with “retail stores that will serve as distinct hubs for adidas and West developed Yeezy product.”

If that doesn't get Yeezy stans and streetwear fans excited, we don't know what will! But now the only question is, how much? Because we all know the current Yeezy line not only breaks the bank, it puts it in ICU!

So while we wait for the brand to launch in 2017, why not catch Strictly: Kanye West today at 17:00 on Channel O, DStv Channel 320
