It has been an explosive week in music and popular culture for the African continent – with all eyes on African artists at the Grammy’s, to new music releases, and enthralling new shows to keep you captivated.

The Grammy’s

African artists shone bright on music’s biggest night, highlighting the ever-growing influence of afrobeats, amapiano and African pop music. Hosted by comedian and media personality, Trevor Noah, the Grammy’s were a night to remember – with all eyes on Tyla, Asake, Davido, Musa Keys, Burna Boy, Olamide and Ayraa Starr as the first nominees of the prestigious Best African Music Performance award.

South African singer, Tyla, took home the gold for her global hit 'Water'. Tyla has reached great acclaim at age 22, and we look forward to watching her career transcend into new heights.

Releases of the Week

From hip hop’s hard-hitting beats to pop’s contagious melodies, this week we are enjoying the latest music video offerings from Maglera Doe Boy featuring 25k and Ason with 'POVO'; and Tyla with "Truth or Dare'.
