The Black Coffee Foundation is proud to announce an exclusive evening of generosity, celebration, and purpose taking place on Friday, 28 November 2025 at Daytona Melrose, Johannesburg. Presented in partnership with Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Don Julio, the Charity Dinner serves as one of the Foundation’s most significant moments of the year - bringing together cultural leaders, philanthropists, industry figures, and friends of the Foundation for a night dedicated to impact.
The soirée, also supported by Salute and Johnny’s Liquor - will honour the Foundation’s mission of uplifting and empowering communities across South Africa through programmes centred on education, opportunity, and social development. The evening will include curated dining, meaningful storytelling, and a celebration of creative individuals and organisations contributing to the Foundation’s work and vision for long-term community transformation.
Supported by partners Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Don Julio, and hosted by Daytona Melrose - the Charity Dinner elevates the spirit of giving, ensuring that efforts and awareness raised continue to advance the Foundation’s youth-focused initiatives, resource programmes, and nationwide community projects.
“The Charity Dinner is a deeply meaningful gathering for us,” says Lungie Mapumulo, CEO of the Black Coffee Foundation. “It’s an opportunity to reflect on the impact we have made, acknowledge those who walk this journey with us, and keep raising vital funds that allow us to continue transforming communities across South Africa. We are thankful to Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Don Julio for their partnership commitment to this purpose-driven work.”
Additionally, Ifeoma Agu, Group Head of Culture, Influencer and Advocacy at Diageo South, West and Central Africa added - “Our partnership with the Black Coffee Foundation and Africa Is Not A Jungle is a purpose led celebration of African creativity, one that supports and elevates the incredible work done by the foundation, with young people at the forefront of defining our future. Showing up as BLUE42, our avant-garde expression of Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Don Julio 1942, representing the height of luxury; one that honours craft, culture, and community in equal measure.”
The Charity Dinner forms part of a monumental weekend for the Foundation. The celebrations continue the following day with the highly anticipated Black Coffee Benefit Concert on Saturday, 29 November, which will feature a dedicated Africa Is Not A Jungle stage - uniting music, culture, and community for a powerful cause.
