Kwesta on Friday thrilled fans with the arrival of g.o.d Guluva. The 15-track project find Kwesta acing his Hip Hop and Kwaito flavours seamingly through the cohesive set of new songs. Thabsie, Umzulu Phaqa, Reason, Kid X, K.O, Focalistic and Yanga Chief are amongst a slew of high powered collaborations on the album.
This would be the first time Kwesta released an album since his Diamond plaque reaching DAKAR II. Following the massive success on that record, the award winning rapper turned his focus on singles, a period which spawned collaborations with the likes of Rick Ross, Wale and other top international rappers. During this time, he also saw somewhat of a transition, solidifying himself as the custodian of an authentically South African approach to Hip Hop.
