We're counting down the hours until this year's South African Music Awards (SAMAs) take place. The ceremony, which is dubbed as the biggest night in SA music, is happening in Sun City on Saturday, 27 May.

The nominees include Amanda Black, Kwesta and Nasty C. Everyone is wondering which artist will scoop the most awards on the night.

We're obviously not only excited about the main event, but also the red carpet arrivals. Will your faves slay? Reality TV star and Idols judge Somizi Mhlongo, who is hosting the award show alongside Tumi Morake, has revealed that he's having six outfit changes, all locally designed.

DJ Tira, Naak Musiq and the Jeziel Brothers have been spotted doing sound checks. The SAMAs' official Instagram account share a picture of the musicians on their page.

Sjava, who has had a big year in music, is also getting ready for the big night.
