Black Coffee (real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo) made headlines earlier this year when he announced that he’d be joining the Coachella Music Festival line-up in California. He’s kept the Coachella crowd dancing and singing along to his hits over the past two weeks.

According to reports, Ultra Music General Manager and Vice President of A&R David Waxman said: "

“At Ultra, we always look for distinctive styles that can be found underground, and bring them to the forefront. With a distinguished sound and style that is representative of his African heritage, Black Coffee is one of the most respected artists in house music."

He is also expected to release his latest album Pieces of Me through Ultra Records later this year, but gave fans a preview at the festival, performing his LP single, Come With Me.

The DJ has received recognition from many international big shots, including rapper P Diddy and hip-hop and RnB artist Swizz Beatz.

Black Coffee was spotted partying with P Diddy in Miami and Diddy took to Instagram to say: “The best music at #ultra is HERE!! The World Famous @realblackcoffee bringing the Africa vibrations live! @RevoltTV”

Swizz Beats complimented Black Coffee’s new album, saying: This #blackcoffee album is Fire! My boy is Backkkkkkk. snap Bronxbasquiat @realblackcoffee”
