MultiChoice and DStv executives discuss the upcoming reality TV show, Big Brother Titans.
Big Brother Titans launch in Nigeria

Big Brother is back again with twists and a bottomless bag of tricks. This time, it will be a collaboration between highly loved countries: Naija and Mzansi.

As discussed at the press conferences held in Nigeria and South Africa on 15 December 2022, Big Brother Titans came together based on "how well both franchises have done," said Nomsa Philiso, executive head of programming: M-Net Channels.

"Big Brother Titans meets a lot of our business objectives. As much as we are a South African company, we are truly very much an African company as we are in 54 countries. This particular show will be available in 46 countries, so it's going to be big. We are going big in every way possible,” she said.

The head of marketing DStv Nigeria, Tope Oshunkeye, also described Big Brother Titans as "a blend of two powerhouses, Nigeria and South Africa.” Oshunkeye hopes to see cross-country collaborations as "this is not a Nigeria vs.South Africa show; there are many learnings we will all take from one another; in terms of food, dance, experiences, culture, and the spectacle as well”.

If you were wondering what Big Brother Titans will be like, Busola Tejumola, executive head of content on West Africa channels, said: "We'll continue to have our nominations, eviction shows, Head of House Challenges, and tasks, but of course, with a twist."

"Saturday night parties will continue to be a highlight, and so will the Friday night games," Oshunkeye added.
